French Customs Guard Visits His Family at the Beach, c. 1930.

This photo postcard has no markings front or back. It appears to show a French customs guard (douanier) with his family at the beach. The uniform coat is a khaki tenue de sortie as used by colonial troops. The kepi has the French customs guard insignia of a grenade and light infantry horn. It looks like Papa is stopping by for a short visit while his family enjoys a longer stay; note that he is wearing his pistol. Perhaps the location is the south of France or North Africa.
