Japanese Soldier, 67th Regiment, Hamamatsu, 1912.

This is a soldier of the 67th Regiment, photographed in Hamamatsu in 1912 according to the writing on the back, and thus between the end of the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-1905 and the outbreak of the First World War in 1914. He wears a dark-blue uniform that was replaced by khaki for field dress.
