7th Infantry Regiment, c. 1909.

Two privates of the 7th Infantry Regiment in a nicely colored photograph. The piping on the collar, cuffs, and shoulder straps should be white instead of the yellowish tint used here. The photographer's marking on the frame indicating Sault Ste Marie in Michigan conforms with Fort Brady (in the city limits) being garrisoned by the 3rd Battalion, 7th Infantry from October 1906 to April 1909, when it departed for the Philippines. Company K was in the 3rd Battalion. The man on the left is annotated as being Charles Edgar Criss.
