Brazilian Soldiers Aboard a Ship, c. 1910.

This photograph in annotated as from 1910, but the style of uniforms could be anytime from the 1890s to the 1910s. The crossed rifles on the hats and unit numbers on the soldiers' collars indicate army troops, so I do not believe these men to be naval personnel inspite of the location. A couple of civilians standing behind these non-commissioned officers complete the picture. (This photo is scaled down. You may use your web browser to view a somewhat larger size.)
