Japanese Army Doctors, 38th Infantry Regiment, 1910.

I am unable to read the Japanese writing on the back of this Kyoto photograph, but I am told that it was written by one of the three men in the picture, that they are doctors, and that the photo was taken in 1910. According to a Russian General Staff handbook on the Japanese army, current to 1912, the 38th Infantry Regiment was in fact stationed in Kyoto as part of the 19th Brigade under the 16th Division. The uniforms are dark blue with red distinctions.
