44th Division, National Guard, c. 1925.

The two sergeants on the left show the yellow and blue shoulder sleeve insignia of the 44th Division, a National Guard formation in New York and New Jersey. Several of the men wear what appears to be the same distinctive unit insignia, but I cannot see it well enough to match it to one of the infantry and artillery regiments that made up this division. The last man on the right wears boots and spurs for mounted duties.
